Advertising at Pine Ridge Farm

You will notice that there is advertising included on the Pine Ridge Farm web pages. We include these for two reasons:

• The most obvious reason is that it allows us to generate a little revenue, to help offset the cost of keeping the site current.
• The second reason is more noble. The advertising program that we chose is tuned to the content of each page. You will notice that in most cases, the content of the advertising is right on target. This advertising allows us to expand the content beyond what we have experienced here on our little farm. You may see something that looks interesting...if you do feel comfortable clicking on it. By clicking, you won't be instantly added to any lists or open yourself up to spam. In many cases these advertisers are family run suppliers of various products and services or not for profit organizations. In some cases there may be a listing that we don't agree with. There are tools and techniques that allow us to filter advertisements, disallowing specific companies and organizations. But we believe in the freedom of speech that is so precious to all American citizens. For example; at Pine Ridge Farm, we grow animals for meat. You will often notice advertisements representing organizations seeking to prevent cruelty to animals. They say vegetarian is the only way. We won't stop those advertisements, because we too agree that cruelty to animals is intolerable. That is why we choose to grow our own meat. We believe that this is a non vegetarian alternative. So while we don't always agree with our advertisers, we do want to provide you with unbiased information that goes beyond our own published content.
